Music from Another Millennium |
The Rock & Roll Relics have performed on behalf of Washington's Oldies Station WBIG (Big 100), and have appeared with such stars as Bobby Rydell, The Skyliners, The Dell-Vikings, The Spaniels, Larry Chance & The Earls, Willie Winfield & The Harptones, The Jarmels and The Five Keys. Their travels have taken them to Northern New Jersey, the shores of the DelMarVa peninsula, Penn State University and West Virginia University where, on September 26, 1998, they appeared in concert as the opening act for The Beach Boys -- in front of an audience of over 8,000! The Rock & Roll Relics have released a CD entitled "Don't Quit Your Day Job" which includes 9 original songs (inspired by the sounds of the fifties and sixties). Three crowd favorites are "Surfin' 2000", "Triple Bogey" and "My Tootsy Roll." Their original songs have been played on radio stations in Virginia, Florida and Massachusetts, and have been featured on "The Vintage Vehicle Show", a television program seen on the PAX network in western Washington state, British Columbia (Canada), and southern California. This talented group of musicians concentrates on reproducing the sounds of the songs we grew up with. With all four singing as well, they are able to produce a wide variety of styles from the sweet sound of streetcorner doo-wop, to the exciting '60s sounds of The Beatles, Beach Boys and The Mamas & The Papas. Authentic in look and in sound, The Rock & Roll Relics will turn any event into an exciting, memorable and fun-filled occasion.
